Mojito’s are a traditional Cuban high-ball. Becoming popular in the United States during the 1980’s. The mojito has recently surged in it’s popularity.

A traditional mojito is made with five ingredients:carbonated water , sugar (traditionally sugar cane juice), lime, mint and white rum. It is a combination of sweetness with refreshing citrus and mint flavor is intended to hide the big kick from the rum, and has made this clear cocktail a popular drink for summer. To make a Mojito, juice from a lime is added to sugar and mint leaves in a tall glass. The mixture is then gently mashed repeatedly with a muddler. Two or three ice cubes are then added, followed by rum and topped off with club soda.
